What Causes Adductor Muscle Pain Post A Orchiectomy?

My husband had a single orchiectomy yesterday and after the meds wore off his left adductor muscle was burning at the top near the groin. It wasn t for cancer, just pain relief. His back is better, but this adductor pain is really painful. Will it go away after he heals from the surgery? I ve never done this before so don t know how I will get your answer? I ll stay online for a while to see if you respond. Thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

After surgery, the abductor muscle may be at stress due to stretching or inflammation. Do continue to give him the medicines prescribed. The discomfort should reduce in a couple of days.

But if the the pain is the same then get your husband clinically examined(Follow up examination). He may need a change of medicines or intravenous antibiotics or pain relievers.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
