What Causes Allergic Rashes All Over The Face And Body?
Im writing for someone who doesn t know if he should see a doctor. He has rash all over his body and face. It turns black and then peels off and its red and sore underneath. Its made worse when in air condition or cold weather. He has had it for about 3 weeks now.
Rash that is over more then 30 percent of body is called erythroderma and it need urgent medical advice as it can lead to dehydration , infection , and many more complications.
The causes may be many, like allergic reaction, eczema, psoriasis, drug rash, autoimmune like SLE, but it always need evaluation and assessment. So he must be seen by a dermatologist and this should be done on emergency basis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
