Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I smell and taste something like sulfur laced with sickly sweet spice. Everything I eat or drink has this taste making everything awful, and the very air to the skin on my fingertips smells like it. I haven t tasted or smelled anything else for about a week. What can cause this?
It can be due to food intolerance like cauliflower, dairy products, broccoli, brussels, etc. Be very specific about what you eat. It can also be due to stress, addictions, acid reflux, GERD, IBS or H.Pylori infection.
Take boiled food, stay away from spicy junk food, avoid addictions if any. Take PPI's like Pantoprazole, Rabeprazole, antacids for relieve. Take enzymes, Aristozyme for better digestion. Get examined by a gastroenterologist if symptoms do not get into control.
Take care.

Dr. Nupur K,
