What Causes Amenorrhea After Having Unprotected Intercourse?

I have not had a period since September, when I had unprotected sex. In October, I had symptoms consistent with a miscarriage. However, my bleeding was not as heavy as expected, leading me to think that it may not have been a miscarriage. I went to a clinic and was given a pregnancy test which came back negative. They told me to get tested for any STD s and to make sure that if I did have a miscarriage, it was complete and there aren t any complications.

Hello,

I think it is just a normal period. If it was miscarriage the test would have remained positive for some days after miscarriage.

The pain is not from std since tests are all normal.

You may try to conceive the next months.

Hope I have answered the question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka,
