Hi doc I missed my periods for 2 months. I took 3 pregnancy tester at home and they were negative. I went to the doctor he took a scan n he said I myth be 1 month pregnant but the scan was not accurate according to him he tested my urine n confirmed that i was not pregnant I have infection he said .he gave antibiotics n trigestrel. I used that medication but so sick after that I couldn t eat I was nauseous .my breast got bigger n sore n heavy at same time n still not getting my periods back my antibiotics are finished am left with 3 red pills on my trigestrel am worried sick I don t know what s happening doc can u help please.
Hello there. I have read through your question and I can understand your concern. As you said you have already got a scan to check for pregnancy it has been ruled out. PCOD is also a cause of irregular periods but it should have been diagnosed on the scan so that is also ruled out. I would advice you to get a thyroid profile done to rule out hypothyroidism which also causes irregular periods. Meanwhile you should complete the course of trigestrel and wait for one week as you should get your periods after a few days after stopping it.
