What Causes Amenorrhea While On Depo Shot?

I have been on depo for about 8 yrs. and just stopped taking it almost 5 months ago. The first 3 months, I had a normal period & since, nothing. I have all the signs of starting a period but nothing. I am 40. Is it possible that I could be going into early menopause?

it can be some other cause not related to depo. so consult gynechologist for examination and diagnosis so that requered treatment can be recomanded.
