Hello,

This is a premenopausal period. It is due to menopause where the ovarian follicles are not anymore and menses stops.in female. At birth 3- 4 lakhs follicle are present. At puberty, the 8-10 thousands remain active and during reproductive life 400-500 have fertilization capacity. As the age increases the follicle depleted and at around 45-50 years of age menopause start where you don't have follicle and chances of pregnancy is very very less.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhadresh Lakhani
