What Causes Ammonia Smell When Diagnosed With Flu?

I have the flu (temperature and cough and bit of a runny nose) for 2 days I have been taking antibiotics paracetamol and ibrufen I now feel like food but everything I cook smells like ammonia even toast or mashed potato Is this a normal flu side effect?

Hi,

Are you under any diabetic or hypertensive medications? Sometimes there will be alteration in taste and smell sensation during flu. I advise you to continue your medications with lot of water and have food healthy food like vegetables and fruits. I suggest you to consult your ENT surgeon if symptoms continue.
