Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a benign lipid rich left adrenal adenoma and a small fluid intense lesion athe left kidney midpole medial cortex likely cyst found on MRI the kidney cyst is a sub centimeter lesion poorly characterized on the exam! I have had a gastric bypass and stayed very thin for over 10 years! I have now gained 70 pounds and still very limited on eating, as well I have all the symptoms that adrenal tumor describes! I went to a local endocrinologist who did a test for Cushing syndrome it came back normal!! My symptoms are anything but normal!! I have to go back to him as since he did not do any further testing they found these tumors by accident on MRI thru my neurologist!! What tests should I ask for and do you think the adrenal tumor has anything to do with the kidney tumor
Adrenal adenoma needs to be removed only if it is causing hormonal disturbance. Since, endocrinal abnormality is ruled out by absence of Cushing syndrome. Cyst in the kidney needs to managed only if is causing any abnormal kidney functions. Asymptomatic renal cyst does not need to be removed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
