Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have have been smelling cigarette smoke on and off for the past few days. Today it has been persistent all day and very strong to the point of being distracting. I know that there is no smoke, as I was smelling it in my classroom with the door shut. I have had a headache for the past few days. I have had migraine and cluster headaches in the past. It is mostly on one side of my head and my left eye feels sore. I have had a heart flutter for the past couple of days too, making me feel like I am anxious.

What Causes An Altered Sense Of Smell?
Hi, Usual cases are stress induced, but in certain issues the alterations in olfactory tract via CNS infection must be ruled out. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Purva Patel, General & Family Physician
