Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a sensitivity to the smell and taste in some low fat milk. I was originally told that it had to do with the way and temperature it was bottled at. I have continually switched milk. The one I was drinking now has a certain smell and taste but no one else smells it o/r tastes. I m on numerous medications and the only new ones are Lasix and potassium. What is happening
First, should change milk if you have this sensitivity to the smell of milk. Switch to cow milk, no low fat, just a natural cow's milk. Goat milk is another alternative and see if you have the same problem.
As you are taking diuretic like Lasix and potassium, might be experiencing electrolytes imbalance. Should get them checked. Try to keep good hygiene of your nose. Apply nasal saline spray for daily hygiene.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
