Hello,

You are experiencing edema in your lower abdomen. You got examined by a surgeon who confirmed its not hernia or hematoma. You took the prescribed antibiotics by him to reduce edema, edema is gone but your Mons pubis is still swollen. Treatment of a swollen abdomen depends on the underlying cause. Avoid foods that cause gas such as beans, cabbage and broccoli. Carbonated drinks also cause gas. Avoid consuming dairy products to prevent abdominal swelling as a result of lactose intolerance.

Other treatment options include reducing stress levels and increasing fiber intake. Causes of a swollen abdomen may indicate gallstones, pancreatitis, blockage of the intestines, ovarian cysts and weight gain. Swelling of the Mons pubis is indicative of ingrown hair, cyst, boil, folliculitis, etc. Warm compression and applying anti-inflammatory ointment on the affected area will help. Boils and smaller cysts may go away on their own. But get clinically examined by a health care provider as the larger ones may need to be surgically removed.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
