Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my pulse rate is running at the rate of 110 a minute. This has occurred about 4 or 5 times in the last couple of months. Usually notice it as I am going to sleep or waking from a nap. Not always like this though. Have an appointment next week. Any suggestions.

What Causes An Elevated Pulse Rate?
Hello! Welcome to HealthcareMagic! Your symptoms can be related to : 1) Hypertension. 2) Atherosclerosis which is a condition due to poor blood supply to the heart muscle. 3) Anxiety. I suggest you to do an EKG, a blood test and to see a cardiologist for further treatment. Hope this clarifies your concern. Thank you for the query. Take care Regards, Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
