What Causes An Enlarged Heart?
I have been checked out for lots of heart problem possibilities and have had an enlarged right side of the heart found. I have shortness of breath on exertion and my feet and ankles swell up to the painful point. High blood pressure, cholesterol and arrhythmia. Will starting to walk now that I am over the shingles, be ok and what causes a heart to be enlarged?

In your case untreated hypertension of long may have precipitated strain on heart muscles and consequent enlargement and now signs of poor circulation (called congestive heart failure or chf) causing shortness of breath and swelling in ankles and feet.
