What Causes An Enlarged Uvula While Recovering From Mononucleosis?
My 24 year old son is currently getting over mono and his uvula got VERY enlarged along with his glands. Now that the swelling has gone down his uvula is totally gone... What could have happened to his uvula and what are the effects of this happening.
Swollen uvula is due to infection from mononucleosis.
When infection is cleared, uvula will get reduced back to normal again.
Ice chips can help to reduce swelling.
Just continue medication as prescribed by his doctor.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
