What Causes An Enlarged Ventricle During Pregnancy?

hello doctor, my wife is in 8 months pregnancy, last week we scanned report for below is right ventricle slightly enlarged and pulmonary valve is more echogenic, no obvious flow disturbance as of now , foramen ovale not seen clearly... pls advise this is critical or normal.....

Hello,

It seems your wife has Pulmonary hypertension with consequent Right ventricular enlargement . However pulmonary artery systolic pressure (PASP) has not been mentioned.

Pulmonary hypertension have a high risk of morbidity and mortality during pregnancy and may have to go for elective caesarean section. She should be managed jointly with Cardiologist.
