What Causes An Increase In The Eosinophils Relative Level?

I acutally have two inquiries of you: - My doctor noted my platelets were at 131th/uL, substantially below the low end of limits...he ordered a second/new test to be taken one month later. Retest results are 157 th/uL, in a 150 - 450 th/uL range. On the second test I noted this: - Eosinophils Relative result was 5.5 % but it s acceptable range is 0.0 - 4.0 % Well above the high end of the allowable range. What does this mean?

Hi,

The percentage of eosinophilic count does not matter, what matters is whether the absolute eosinophilic count in your blood is raised or not. That depends on you TLC, total leucocytes count.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
