What Causes An Infant To Sleep For Long Hours?

Hey, I just brought my baby girl home from her grandparents house. She is almost 3 months old. And is in a dead sleep she won t wake up for anything but is still breathing. She s never like this. She didn t even wake up or jump when I picked her up like she usually does. What s wrong? Is there something they could have given her to be like this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Probably she has been long awake and now she is sleeping. I can't say that they may have given something because full evidence and blood tests are needed. Also check her body temperature because flu or other infections can make her lethargic.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
