Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a lump on the side of my breast,on the bottom where my bra rubs it. It is always there but occasionally fills with puss. It s like a big pimple. Anyways, when it starts draining, the puss that comes out smells awful. Is this something I should be worried about?
It seems an infected lump. Breast lumps can be caused by infections, injuries, non-cancerous growths, and cancer. Take an antibiotic course of Amoxycillin and clavulanic acid.
Take an anti-inflammatory like Advil for 7 days. If it does not go, visit your doctor. He would like to do a biopsy of tissue.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
