I have a open surgical wound draining and have been told it has entiriccoie bug (not spelled right) I have to take Doxycycline hyalite 100mg BID they gave me that instead of Leviquine. What is this and how did I get it. Also how long will it take to get rid of it Thanks Carol ...

Hi,
As you are diagnosed and started antibiotic, kindly continue as advised. Kindly do culture and sensitivity test of that discharge. Continue daily dressing of that wound with regular follow-ups with the surgeon. Never keep wound open.
