What Causes An Itchy Rash After Receiving A Pneumonia Vaccination Shot?

I take the following medicines Alendronate Sodium 70 mg 1 per wk, Amlodipinen5mt 1 daily, Aspirin 81 mg, bisiprolol Fumurate 10 mg daily, Hydroxchloroquine 200 mg 2 per day for rash, Ropinirole HCL1 MG 4 per day Synthroid 150 mcg five days 175 mcg 2 days and Zyrtec 10 mg daily. I do not have Lupus but I have a rash and have had ever since I had a reaction to Pneumonia Vaccine. It is very painful and itches terribly. It will clear up and in a month come back. Could some of my medicine be interacting with one of the other ones.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your symptoms seem to be related to an allergic reaction and not to an interaction between two medications. Meanwhile some advice that I can give are:

-Take oral antihistamine daily.
-Use Calamine lotion for local relief
-If you don't get better see your doctor for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
