What Causes An Old Incision Mark To Turn Red When One Sweats?

I have an old incision from a hysterectomy over 25 years ago. recently it began to turn red when my body sweats. my stomach hangs over scar and seems damp sometimes. Putting powder on and keeping dry takes away redness, but is this a type of fungus and what should I use to clear it up?

Hi,

Certain skin diseases occur in healed scars. This is called kobner phenomenon in dermatology. These diseases include dermatitis, infection, lichen planus, warts etc. So it's important that we see the picture of the area to exactly know as what it is. So it would be great if you share a picture with us are let your doctor see it know what it could be. After that we would be able to manage in better way.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
