What Causes Anal Drainage Of Blood?
Hello my husband thought he had to have a bowl movement, when he stood up to go to the bathroom blood came out. he has no fever or stomache pain. I am at work and he did not want to go to emergency room. he said he wants to lay down for a little while and if it happens again he will go to er.

Blood coming out of anus could be due to hemorrhoids or there may be some other pathology in the colon. If hemorrhoids are present there is usually some irritation plus some protruding structure can be felt. But no such symptoms and signs are there, it is better to visit a gastroenterologist. Thanks.
