We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.
Based on the history you have shared, white discharge can be due to local wound infection so should be evaluated by a surgeon.
If you are not having temperature spikes, any need for an urgent referral. Pyodine sits in like warm water may help.
Meanwhile, stool softeners can be continued. Preliminary antibiotics may be needed too. Periods will not affect much but sterile pads should be used to avoid contamination of the wound.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
