Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Sir 20 Days before i found a drop of blood in my stool and from that day it is very painful. I thought i am suffering with Haemoroids but doctor said it is a Fischer.....Took the treatment and the pain is reduced very much. But every time i pass Stool i am geting pain in the anus...some time it stays for mins and some times for hours but still no blood in stool. Is this severe condition and should i go for surgery
Painful defecation along with few drops of blood in stool is suggestive of a condition called fissure-in-ano.
Since your problem is of short duration, I would advise you the following: -Sitz bath in a tub with warm water before and after passing stool. -Apply Lidocaine jelly before passing stool. -Take laxatives to keep stools soft. -Antibiotic only if your surgeon advises so. -Painkiller to ward off pain and inflammation.
This cures the problem in most of the cases. Surgery is to dilate the internal sphincter if there is spasm or fibrosis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. T Chandrakant
