What Causes Anal Swelling Long After Having Hemorrhoids?
I have had hemorrhoids in past. For 6 days, I ve been having a painful bottom with swelling at anus. I can also feel this swelling all the time. Like when walking or just standing. No bleeding & have been using an ointment. Doesn t seem to be working. It is a better ointment recommended by physician after I had surgery to remove part of colon 2 years ago. Can this still be a hemorrhoid?

Well it could be possible that few hemorrhoidal veins get dilated and cause such symptoms. Because of the surgery you had, you're not getting blood.
You should change your diet and consume fibers and less spices. When your gut is clean, you won't have these symptoms.
You can get lignocaine ointment for pain as well which is a local analgesic for pain relief.
