What Causes Ankle Pain And Difficulty In Walking?

For the past month, my feet and ankles hurt to badly to walk or even stand. It came on fairly suddenly and won t go away. The bottoms of my feet are the worst and the arches both on the bottom and top of my feet. It has gotten to the point that within just a few minutes of getting out of bed in the morning, I have to sit down. I find myself changing shoes multiple times a day.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Possible osteoarthritis involving foot bones upto ankle is likely diagnosis in this instance. Because over both sides, other common cause in terms of ankle sprain or strain is ruled out surely. As the intensity of symptoms are much, I recommend orthopedic evaluation for further handling.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
