What Causes Ankle Swelling While Treating Osteo-arthritis?

I have osteo-arthritis and have just been taken off anti inflammatories because of a bowl issue so, naturally, my ankle ( once broken ) swells badly and causes me to limp a bit and walk slowly. Can I do any harm to the ankle by using it regularly in spite of the huge swelling that happens daily? Each night, I elevate it, ice it and so on but my husband thinks I have to stop hiking and being active. What do you say?

Hello

I am concerned with your health. Ankle swelling has many causes, in your case it could be due to drugs you are using however this should be evaluated.
I suggest you to visit your doctor to have some investigations regarding your illness and rule out other possible causes.

I hope I have answered your query.
