Hello, I have recently got my endoscopy done and was detected with antral gastritis, along with that I have also got diffuse disc bulge at c5-6 contacting left c6 exiting nerve root. My problem had started with back pain in left side radiating to arm I was prescribed with naproxen and then co coda mol which caused stomach problem may be, because I took painkillers for 7 days. Now that I have been diagoned with disc bulge after MRI was done I am taking medicine prescribed by neurologist. My back pain is reducing but I get heart palpitation, so I am worried what can be the reason for this. I also still have gas problem, with burping and shortness of breath.
Hello and thanks you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein and I will try to help you as much as I can with my answer.
In most cases this is caused by nonsteroid painkillers but also is aggravated by stress, coffee, alcoho, fried and spicy food etc. You need antiacid mediciens such as pantroprasole or ranitidine and take it for 8 weeks at least. Also, change your dietary habits and regulate body mass.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
