What Causes Anxiety After Switching From Paxil To Trintellix?

Hi I recently switched from Paxil to Trintellix and from clonazepam to lorazepam and I'm haveing severe anxiety. I am wondering if the Trintellix could have anything to do with it? I found some serious drug interactions as well on Web MD and feel like I am desperate for help. I can't get ahold of my doctor.

Paxil is Paroxetine and is a SSRI drug. Trintellix is Vortioxetine and is a serotonergic drug. There is difference in pharmacodynamics of both drugs. Sudden switch from Paxil to Trintellix could result in withdrawal symptoms and anxiety.

Shifting from Clonazepam to Lorazepam can also result in severe anxiety. Lorazepam is shorted acting while Clonazepam is longer acting. If you have been given equivalent doses even then the drug should be given 3 times a days for relief of anxiety if your anxiety was severe.

Talk to your doctor for proper evaluation.
