What Causes Anxiety After Taking Alka-Seltzer?

I m a 23 year old male 160 lbs that took 2 dissolvable tablets of alka seltzer extra strength which contained 500mg of Aspirin 3 hours ago. I have no history of any health conditions. I also do not take any medications. Initially I felt my pulse rising up, anxiety and I was hyperventilating to the extent that I was gasping for air. My parents rushed me to the ER. BP was 148/92 & Pulse is 96 at the hospital. Right now it s 130/90 & Pulse is 69. At the ER I was only administered an Omoprozole drip. I still feel light headed, when can I expect to return to normal?

Don't worry about it. As your pulse and blood pressure is normal at this moment, I hope you will be able to go home soon. I expect it will be within 24 hours.

However, alka seltzer is a product which is used to reduce gastric irritation and heartburn. It does not contain aspirin. Taking too much aspirin may lead to hyperventilation, especially in asthma patient. please clarify, what did you want to tell about aspirin 500mg?
