What Causes Anxiety And Depression After Treated For Lumbar Fusion?

hi doctor,
I had a lumbar fusion on March 10, I was on dialudid until March 21. I'm experiencing lots of anxiety. is this related to opiate saturation? what can I do (I am taking xanax to help me get through it). How long should this last? Also I regularly take 10 mg of lexapro for anxiety & depression, should I increase that to 20 mg?

It is for sure that the opioid saturation can cause anxiety. But even your neurolgic problem have helped in causing anxiety. In my opinion you shouldn't take xanax for long period. As for lexapro you need see the doctor if he is going to make it 20 mg.
