What Causes Anxiety And Pain In The Chest Post Trauma?
Hi. My daughter lived throu a very traumatic incident that almost took her life. Things are okay now but she has anxiety and chest pains. Sometimes they are sharp and only last a minute or so and sometimes dull. She is 37 years old and has never had any heart problem, in fact she is health conscious and weighs the right amount for her height, eats healthy, etc. She seems uptight and always worrying. Could this be post traumatic stress disorder?
dear, symptoms mentioned by you are suggesting tht ur daughter is most probably suffering from PTSD or post traumatic stress disorder, this happens after a traumatic event in life and the victim feel or remember similar events frequently causing anxiety/irritability/fear/decrease social communication. this can be treated by low dose of anti depressants and reassurance, psychologistcounselling may be of a great help. hope u ll find it helpful.
