What Causes Anxiety And Sleeplessness While Giving Levesam To An 8 Month Old?

Are there any side effects of using levesam..My Daughter who is 8 months old has got around 4 seizures attacks in the last one month.She has become very anxious ,doesn t sleep much in the night and shouts loudly.Currently doctor has recommended to give dose of 1.5 ml three times in a day

Anxiety , sleeplessness can be a possible side effect of Levesam , and you should inform your pediatrician about it . I would recommend you to consult with your pediatrician further as such manifestations can also be indicated of any other issue which should be ruled out with proper testing . In infancy period , metabolic disorders can also cause seizures which should be ruled out with testing.
Seizures in infants can be due to following reasons:
1. metabolic problem
2. febrile illness
3. meningitis
4.hemorrhage
5. abnormal brain development
6. encephalitis
MRI of brain , metabolic profile including all blood and urine tests , lumbar puncture are the basic modality of tests for evaluation and exact diagnosis .One of the most treatable cause of seizures in infants is vitamin B6 deficiency which should also be kept in mind during evaluation of baby.
