What Causes Anxiety During Day Time Despite Taking Zapiz And Rexipra?
I am suffering from anxiety cum depression and consulted psychiatrist at my previous place of posting he gave me prestiq 100 mg and was feeling good. Then I have reduced dose to 50 mg and started taking ayurvedic medicines. Then I reduced dose to 25 mg. But the problem increased and I again consulted a psychiatrist at my present place if posting after having a panic attack. He changed prescription to zapiz .25 mg 3 times and rexipra 10 mg one time and I am taking it since 1 month I was feeling relaxed in between but I again feel anxious in morning and relaxed in night. What is to be done?
Hello user. thanx for contacting HCM for your health related query. I understand your concern and it seems that reducing the antidepressant dose and choosing ayurvedic medicine was not a good idea - hope you have stopped it now as many unknown drug interactions may occur with concurrent use of them. You are now on Rexipra (escitalopram) 10 mg and if there is partial response in 4 wks , it can be gradually increased to 15/20 mg by your psychiatrist . most antidperessants need some extended time like 6-8 wks to exert effects , Also discuss any ongoing psychological stress with him/her so he can advise some suitable psychotherapy as well. avoid smoking/alcohol/tea-coffee - go for a brisk 30 min walk daily - keep a regular sleep schedule .
