What Causes Aphonia Along With Heaviness In Lungs?
I have lost my voice twice now in last 2 months I can t see any reason why I should have lost it I have never smoked don t suffer from acid reflux my lungs feel heavy but not mucous like no cough no cold symptoms and I have never lost my voice before (36 years)
How long the episodes lasted? Was it complete loss of just hoarseness? Most common cause of hoarseness of voice is a viral infection like flu/laryngitis. If this happens without evidence of such infections, we need to evaluate the underlying cause. If this recur, kindly see an ENT specialist for evaluation.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
