What Causes Appetite Loss And Nausea While On Treatment For Breast Cancer?

Hello, my 40 y o daughter has metastatic breast cancer, stage 4 and has kept it at bay for 2 years with alternative treatments. Since Wednesday she s having loss of appetite, nausea, pain in the area of lower rib on her backside rated 9 out of 10 and has bloated stomach. What might be going on?

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Cancer itself is a malice and cause of different symptoms which are troublesome to the patient.

But treatment of the cancer which includes chemotherapy and radiotherapy have their own side effects aiming which salient effects are mentioned:

1. Alopecia
2. Bone marrow suppression
3. Infections
4. Diarrhea or constipation

In your daughter's case, it looks like she is suffering from diarrhea and chemo related nausea and loss of appetite.
