What Causes Appetite Loss While On Creon?

I am a 67 year old diabetic type one for 43 years. I just started taking Creon for a digestive problem I had but now I have a loss of appetite and a dry cough which occurs more when I take deep breaths through my mouth rather than nose. I also noticed my urine color is bright yellow although I don t have a ketone problem.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Creon is associated with different possible gastrointestinal side effects though loss of appetite is not a common side effect, persons react differently to medication. It is not known to cause a dry cough so you may want to be seen to rule out other causes for this if it is bothersome.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James
