What Causes Artery Blocking With Pain And Swelling In Wrist?

I've had IV through the R wrist last week. I have pain and swelling in the wr. Went to the same hosp. where the procedure was done. The doc took an ultraschall (ultrasound) and said that the R artery is blocked. the L is OK. Since I am taking Marcumar, he said there is no need to worry, it'll eventually get better. Dear doc, I need your opinion.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi. You said you took IV injection. If yes then how can the Radial artery get blocked? Why are you having Marcumar? If you got an IV injection then the artery should not get blocked. Do you have any pain or bluish discoloration in your palm or first three fingers? If yes, then you should see a Vascular Surgeon. Do let me know why you are having Marcumar and your age in order for me to advice you better. Take care. Dr Rishi, New Delhi, India.
