My husband has atrophy of temporal lobes of his brain. He has in the past been diagnosed with Alzheimer s. Now the are not sure of diagnosis. They are also talking about hydrocephalus. Wonder if you can give info on diagnosis and how it relates to Alzheimer s

alzhimers disease is a type of degenerative dementia. Predominantly medial temporal lobe and parietal lobes are affected. This may explain MRI findings in this case..
however if not Alzhimers....then....other possibilities to be ruled out ...EG....Mesial Temporal lobr sclerosis.
