My Dad is 89 years old. He has dementia and has been diagnosed with Alzheimers but still knows all of his family with no problem. He has been telling me in the last two days that he is hearing a male choir singing to him all the time. It is starting to annoy him even though he loves music he wants to know where it is coming from and why no one else can hear it........................I m at a loss as to what to say to him!!!! He does wear hearing aids and he hears this choir no matter whether they are in or out....................

Auditory hallucinations are most commonly seen in schizophrenia. They are hardly related to alzheimer or dementia. Its better to consult a psychiatrist.
