What Causes Auditory Hallucinations While Addicted To Drugs?
I will female friend 29 years old smokes crystal meth and inhaled through nasal snorts cocaine snorts heroin and skin pops it. I ve known her approximately two she has it 7 days a week and for last month every 7 days she was in the emergency has grand mal seizures and doctor said too many drugs in her system and one right about now she s hearing voices telling her what to do, hearing voices that are not there she answers back to them to add to all that she s had HIV for 3 years her apartment is thrashed smells like crap and smells really foul hygiene extra Poor Side. That s the best I can do is direct as possible

Thanks for your question! There are numerous drugs that causes hallucinations. Hallucinations as such can be of different types one being auditory as well. One most serious side effects of drugs are auditory hallucinations. It makes a person behave violent and psychotic. As of HIV is concerned it might not directly cause hallucinations however the depression a person gets in to might indirectly trigger psychotic disorders.
Auditory hallucinations are when the Brain perceives sounds that are non existent. The brain is trained to fill in gaps and usually works on the previous stimuli to identify sounds. Drugs like crystal Meth makes her perceive stimuli that are not there and hence the brain starts reacting to its own false signal.
