Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For a long time, I have experienced music auditory hallucinations. It is SO real that I often question my bf if he hears the music too. It doesn t really bother me, unless I am trying to sleep, but I am just curious if it is caused by something I should discuss with a Doctor.
I appreciate your concern for the auditory musical hallucinations. Incomplete data like age, gender, any drug or alcohol intake, any associated symptoms like fits, loss of consciousness, any history of head injury???
Auditory musical hallucinations has many causes like anxiety, schizophrenia obsessive-compulsive disorder, following an attack of complex seizure, subarachnoid hemorrhage, tumors of the brain, intoxication or it can be due to progressive deafness.
In view of the possibility of the above mentioned causes, you are advised to consult a psychiatrist for proper evaluation and treatment.
Wishing you a very good health.
