What Causes Baby Toe Pain And Aching Ankle?

Yes, please. My 32 year old daughter just called, she is experiencing pain in her ankle, with shooting pain into her baby toe. She does not recall twisting or rolling her foot in any way today. I told her to put ice on it and take ibuprofen, which she is doing. Should she see a doctor? and is there anything she can do for the shooting pain to her toe?

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
What problem your 32 year old daughter could be facing could be due to sprain in the ankle joint following ligament overstretching.
What you have advised is alright and she can continue with application of ice pack.
Instead of taking Ibuprofen, it would be better for her to take Tablet. Diclofenac with Paracetamol and Chloroxazone as it as analgesic and muscle relaxant. She can take it thrice daily after food for about 3 to 5 days.
Along with it, she can apply topical analgesic gel on the affected part at bedtime.
Let her take care to give adequate rest to the part and not to bear excess weight on the affected side.
Gradually, her symptoms should subside and should be back to normal.
