What Causes Back Pain After Lifting A Heavy Object?
I had back pain for about a week after picking up something heavy. After a week the back issues ended but the pain went to my left butt knee and leg. I am fine sitting, but as soon as I stand up , the pain is brutal. Initinitally I was given a 7 day steriod pack. I have seen chiropracter 4 times now. THe pains is still very bad, so my doctor put me on Gabipentin and a muscle relaxer. Does it take a week or 2 for the Gabapentin to work? Would taking Ibupropen and./or help with the pain.

Hello,
Due to heavy lifting there is backbone compression which also compresses nerves of your lower limb. This results in pain of your limb. So add another drug Neurobion Forte Plus, if not relieved. Meet good orthopedician he will run specific test and prescribe appropriate treatment. Ibuprofen does not work much better.
