Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I cannot lay on my back without a lot of pain. I continually have to get up and go to the bathroom with loose bowels. I am unable to sleep more than 45 minutes at a time. I am then up for an hour or two before attempting to lay down and go back to sleep for another 45 minutes.
Diarrhea and lower back pain are common and may be unrelated. However, the two can also be symptoms of more serious conditions. Some illnesses that can cause both diarrhea and lower back pain include celiac disease, IBD, kidney infections, and diverticulosis. I suggest to do abdominal ultrasound and stool sample analysis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Blerina Pasho, General & Family Physician
