Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband has recently had some back pain and his balance is off. He is 77 years old and weighs about 155. He is in very good health and very active. He went to the ear and nose doctor and the have him doing phy. Therapy but I am concerned. Should he have an x-Ray? Could he be developing a form of scoliosis and if so could this cause his balance to be off? He has fallen several times now and sometimes gets dizzy.
I think that this back pain and loss of balance may be caused by vertebral spine issues. He may need to do an X-ray of spine. Taking anti-inflammatory drugs is advisable as well as wearing spine support. He may also need to check blood pressure and blood sugar often.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
