What Causes Back Pain And Tingling Sensation In Right Leg After Back Muscle Pull?
I pulled some muscles in my back which caused my back to hurt & then my right leg began tingling. Could this be a pinched nerve caused by degeneration in the lower spine? This has been going on for 4 months. Now the tingling is not as severe but I ve tried Physical Therapy and now doing intensive exercises that are meant to strengthen my core . What else should I do?
hi thank you for asking your concern and welcome to HCM. if the nerve is being pressed in between two back bones this kind of tingling goes from back to thigh and depends on which side of nerve is being pressed. if muscle pull is there then it generates strong enough pressure on bones to press the nerves. so decresing the muscle pull is important in your case. i would suggest you to consult your physician also to start some medicines for muscle pull like chlorzoxazone or other pain killers but for few days only. you mentioned degeneration, if you have been diagnosed already then please visit your consultant. please continue physical therapy or physiotherapy because that is a must part of your treatment. i hope i answered to your concern thank you regards dr. abhijit
