General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* The back pain before colonoscopy procedure is seemingly related to fluid electrolyte imbalance induced muscle cramps as that of low levels of sodium or potassium most likely.

As the colopac or peglac powder given for colonoscopy preparation causes the fluid and electrolyte loss from the small bowel as well.

Kindly get a basic lab report of complete hemogram with serum electrolytes to look into the matter for the best possible management ahead.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
