What Causes Back Pain Between Shoulder Blades Along With Tingling In Arm?

I have back pain between my shoulder blades that moves around. I also have a lot of burping. I ve been taking omneprazole for two weeks and the burping is less but I still have the discomfort between my shoulder blades. I had nausea which has gone since taking the tablets. I have a dry cough that I am not sure if it is connected. Today I also had tingling across the top of my shoulders and down my right arm

Hi,

First of all your if we consider your pain upper back with numbness radiating down the arm- the common cause for this is cervical disc disease(neck related problems).

The symptoms could increase due to abnormal posture while sleeping or working or lifting heavy weights or trauma to the neck.

Other causes can be brachial neuritis (swelling of the nerves), vitamin deficiency, diabetes or even stress.

Similarly your burping and abdominal discomfort can be due to gastritis or reflux.

Persistent gastritis can even cause irritating cough. So I feel that first of all focus on your diet- good balanced diet, avoid spicy,oily food,avoid tea and coffee,take lots of fruits and vegetables and take care of your posture.

If still the symptoms persist then go for some investigations like complete blood count,vitamin b12,FBS,TSH,xray cervical spine. Once the results are there, we can plan proper treatment.
